There is a huge backlog in student housing across South Africa, especially in Gauteng where there are several Higher Learning Institutions. I did a thesis on this topic and understand how serious the situation is, we have students who are leaving in unsafe backyard houses across townships like Soweto, Alex, Tembisa, Mamelodi, Soshanguve, Mabopane and more. One of my proposed solutions was that the department of education itself should give incentives to property investors who want to build accomodations, and already existing structures that offer funding to student housing projects like the Gauteng Partnership Fund should be marketed and made known to all developers. https://www.rs-construction.co.za/
