Description
The Syama Gold Project is located in the south of Mali, West Africa approximately 30kms from the Côte d’Ivoire border and 300km southeast of the capital Bamako in Mali. A pre-feasibility study into an underground operation at the Syama project has resulted in a 54% increase in the project’s ore reserves. With the addition of some 14.3 million tonnes of underground ore, the Syama ore reserve has grown to 3.15 million ounces, up by 1.1 million ounces on the previous estimate. Underground mine would require a capital investment of $85.6 million.

Creek Park has their own architectural style, landscaping and lifestyle personality. The units are designed like villas, but sized like apartments ranging from 100 to 500m², each with its own entrance, green space and parking.

Description
Construction of commercial and or business component for the redevelopment of the 36 hectare Athlone Power Station site, in Cape Town in the Western Cape. The mixed use development envisaged for Athlone Power Station site will consist of the following components: Residential – 22.2%; Commercial or business – 30%; Retail – 12.3%; Public institutions – 21.5%; Light industry – 7.4%; Athlone Refuse Transfer Station – 6.6%. The historical red brick buildings are to be retained where possible for predominantly public usage, such as a cultural centre. The existing electricity and waste water infrastructure will also be retained. Provision is to be made to link the site to future IRT routes and there is potential for a Rail Station on the site. Construction of a 107km pipeline which will lie 2m underground, a combined helium and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) plant with associated gas production and processing facilities, for the Tetra4 Cluster 1 Gas Production Project located near Virginia, within the Matjhabeng and Masilonyana Local Municipalities, in the Free State. The study area includes portions of the following farms: Brakspruit 121; Palmietkuil 328; Middelplaas 583; Enkeldoorn 360; Kalkoenkrans 225; Mond van Doornrivier 38; Boschluis Spruit 278; Damplaats 341; Grottkau 410; Retreat 118; Zonderzorg 342; Goedemoed 143; Nortier 361; Zoetendal 243; Deeldam 106; Jordaan 1; Doornrivier 330; Leeuwbult 52;Driekoppies 322; Excelsior 147; Harmonie 579; Frisgewaag 550; Terra Blanda 155; Erfdeel 188; Kleinpan 320; Blaauwdrift 188; Tarka 656; Hendriena 563; De Wilger 544; Glen Ross 562; Helpmekaar 47. Activities that will take place will include the drilling of new wells as well as intervention drilling of historic wells in order to connect the new with the old and develop a producing gas field, mainly for helium as well as CNG. Gas extracted from the existing and new wells will be compressed via centralised compressors and sent via pipeline through to the combined helium and CNG plant for processing.

Lesotho Highlands Water Project, Phase II

Description
Construction and development of Phase 2 of the Lesotho Highlands Water Project. The project will include the construction of a 2.3 million cubic metre dam, Polihali Dam, in the Maluti Mountains in Lesotho. It will also include a 19km tunnel / pumping main from the Mashai reservoir upstream of Katse Dam; Second 45km long transfer tunnel from Katse reservoir to the Muela reservoir; Upgrading of the Muela hydropower plant; Second 37km long delivery tunnel from the Muela reservoir to the Vaal River basin. Project value: R17.5 billion.

Featured Project: Khoemacau Copper Project – Botswana

Description
The renamed Khoemacau Project is located in the centre of the Kalahari Copper Belt in North-Western Botswana. The Ghanzi property covers 2 149m² and contains sediment-hosted copper-silver deposits with a demonstrated cumulative tested strike length of 70km. KCM plans to build an underground mine at Khoemacau’s high-grade Zone 5 deposit. The Zone 5 resource contains 100 million tonnes of ore at 2% coppe and 20g/t silver and remains open at depth. The Zone 5 underground mine will be accessed through 3 declines and will use a highly mechanised, low-cost sub-level open stoping mining method. The project’s capital cost is estimated at $350 million, with the underground mine development being the biggest single cost component.

The internal refurbishment includes the ablutions, floors (marble floor is being replaced with porcelain tile), ceilings, shopfronts, columns, electrical, mechanical, fire and signage. Featured Project: Prieska Zinc-Copper Project, Northern Cape

Description
The project is located 270 kilometres south-west of Kimberley, the regional capital of the Northern Cape province. Importantly, the project has access to significant local and regional infrastructure, with mine infrastructure including a regional power grid feed, bitumen access roads, access to a bulk, treated water supply and a 1 900m landing strip. Several large commercial wind and solar generation projects are operational in the surrounding area and the mine is located just 48kms from a railway siding at Groveput with an open-access railway line connecting the site to the world-class export port of Saldanha Bay.
