During the EIA process we are asked “When is this going out to tender?”

Before a tender can be issued for the construction, a positive Environmental Authorization needs to be issued, whereafter the Project Status will change to Design and then to Tender, as the case may be, depending on the Project Type.

Where are projects sourced from and at what stage are projects sourced?

Projects are sourced via the media, websites, newspaper articles, EIA process, Townplanning notices, Company Financials. Attempts are made to source the projects as early as possible, i.e. Conceptual or Procedural Stages, but they are sometimes sourced at later stages as well.

Can we have the bidders and the value of the project?

Where ever possible we do endeavour to source this information and when it is available we will forward this info to subscribers logged onto the relevant PPAs, however as the majority of these projects are through private developers, they are not always keen to release this information.

Will we be notified when this goes to tender?

If you are monitoring the Project, you will receive an update mail when this stage is reached.

Will I be notified when a Tender is awarded?

If you are monitoring the Tender, you will receive an update mail when this stage is reached.

Can I send my Company Profile to the EIA Consultants?

Under no circumstances should Company Profiles be email to the EIA Consultants. They cannot assist with any construction related enquiries. Company Profiles should be sent to the relevant professional, for example, the Client/Developer, the Project Manager, the Architect, the Quantity Surveyor, the Engineers, (Civil, Structural,
Electrical and/or Mechanical), depending on what your company does and what your product is.
