Description : Construction of the Radisson Blu Hotel, as part of Oceans @ Umhlanga (previously known as Gandhi Square) in Umhlanga Village, KwaZulu-Natal. The proposed Radisson Blu Hotel Durban Umhlanga will have a total of 207 rooms and a range of world-class offerings including: State-of-the-art business facilities; exclusive fine-dining offerings; a large banqueting facility and other meeting rooms for 1200 people; rooftop bar and terrace; spectacular rim flow pool deck; boutique gym; spa treatment rooms; artisanal roaster style coffee bar; and Islamic compliant facilities. There will also be a Presidential suite on the 16th floor. The development site is located in the Umhlanga CBD and is bounded by the Ridge Road Extension in the West, Lighthouse Road in the South, Lagoon Drive in the East and Flamingo Drive in the North. The site sits on approximately 7ha of prime land that nestles in the heart of Umhlanga. The development will also include a shopping mall which will be known as Ocean Mall, arranged over three levels and carrying international brands; and a residential component, consisting of 2 residential towers with a total of 460 residential units.
